We build, re-develop and maintain good quality homes that people want to live in, with rents that people can afford to pay.
We currently own and manage over 4500 properties in and around Shropshire and Herefordshire.
Shropshire HomePoint is a choice-based lettings partnership which manages a county-wide Housing Register (waiting list). Most social housing in the county will be covered by Shropshire HomePoint (excluding Telford and Wrekin).
This includes homes owned by:
• South Shropshire Housing Association
• Meres and Mosses Housing Association
• Severnside Housing
• STAR Housing
The scheme also includes rented and shared ownership housing.
If you are a new applicant, you will need to fill out an application form to join the housing register. We will make sure that you are eligible to join the scheme and work out your housing need. With so little housing available, only a small number of people registering with Shropshire HomePoint are likely to be re-housed. So, it is really important to ensure those most in need, have the best opportunity to secure permanent housing.
To do this we use a ‘banding system’ to calculate those most in need. There are four main bands (levels) of housing need, Priority, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
To get your name onto the register you must complete a housing application form. For further information please visit the dedicated website.
The forms can be printed out, completed and posted to the address shown.
