Board Members

Boards of Management Roles and Responsibilities
 
Shropshire Housing Group is governed by four Boards of Management, Shropshire Housing Group (SHG) Board, South Shropshire Housing Association (SSHA) Board, Meres and Mosses Housing Association (MMHA) Board and Total Response Limited (TRL) Board.
 
Shropshire Housing Group Board
 
This Board is made up of two nominated members from SSHA Board, two nominated members from the MMHA Board, and 4 Independent Board members.
 
Their main purpose is to ensure the smooth running of the Group, approve budgets and ensure the Group is performing well and keeping within guidelines set out by the Housing Corporation.
 
South Shropshire Housing Association Board of Management
 
The Board is made up of two Tenant Board Members, one District Council Nominee and seven Independent Members.
 
Their duties include ensuring the Association complies with their values and objectives, approve each year’s accounts and budgets, and appoint or remove the Managing Director.
 
The Board also ensures the delivery of Major repairs and improvements programmes, and are responsible for policy development in the following areas;
  • Neighbourhood and Community Services including Rent Policy;
  • Maintenance and Estate Management;
  • Care and Support;
  • Development and sustainability.
Meres and Mosses Board of Management
 
The Board is made up of four tenant Board Members, four District Council Nominees and four independent Board Members.
 
They have the same responsibilities as SSHA Board of Management.
 
Total Response Ltd Board of Management
 
The Board is made up of one independent SHG Member, one SSHA member, SSHA’s Managing Director and SSHA’s Head of Property.
 
Their responsibilities are to develop and monitor the business plan for the company ensuring that the company is financially viable, ensure that all the ventures it undertakes meet the objectives of Shropshire Housing Group, and agree budgets and expenditure and approve annual accounts in relation to the company.
