Putting customers first whilst building work is completed
South Shropshire Housing Association, part of Connexus, have taken the difficult decision to temporarily close the Ludlow Foyer for a period of time from 19th November, and relocate their residents elsewhere, within Ludlow.
The closure will enable some of the complex building improvements and works to go ahead in the main stairwell and shared flats, in the existing Foyer Tower. These works will also improve fire prevention and protection in the long term and also enable some refurbishment works to take place.
Residents are being moved within the Ludlow area and will still be supported 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by the existing team. Shropshire Council have been informed and are fully supportive of our decisions and praised the level of commitment we are showing to our residents to ensure they are still supported.
Building work at the Foyer is progressing well and will offer 11 flats and will house up to 22 residents with a range of support needs in a prestigious new “landmark building” in the heart of Ludlow.
Ann Sutcliffe, Director of Wellbeing and Support for Connexus said “Whilst I regret the temporary disruption faced by the residents and the team, I am sure that it will be the best solution as it will enable the works to proceed apace, whilst offering the residents some peace and quiet away from the building works.”
